Radiation Use & Safety

Oregon regulation requires that individuals who operate x-ray equipment must have adequate training in Radiation Safety.  This is a 24 hour course and meets the requirements for certification.  The content of this course has been approved by the State of Oregon, Radiation Protection Services and Imaging Resources, Inc. is licensed by the State of Oregon, Radiation Protection Services to provide this course.

Richard S. Kay, PhD, RT(R)(M), FASRT, CRadP, MSRP of Imaging Resources, Inc. will be presenting this certified course in radiation safety.   This multi-media course is presented expressly for veterinary technicians in the State of Oregon and as a review for veterinarians. 

The following subjects listed in the latest edition of the Oregon Rules For The Control Of Radiation  (333-106-055) will be covered:

bulletin addition to the required elements, much time is spent on everyday problem solving, and participants are instructed in making usable technique charts and hands off positioning.
